AppleCare on iPad with Magic Keyboard case.

I just purchased a Magic keyboard a few days ago and I hear it is covered under my iPad Pro AppleCare plan that I purchased a month ago. So do I have to register the keyboard to Apple or is it automatically covered during the duration of my IPad Pro 5th generation two year agreement?

Hello, Zype2!

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities! That's a great question you have about your Magic Keyborad being covered by AppleCare. When you purchase a new accessory with your device and AppleCare, the accessory is covered as well, as long as it was purchased with the device brand new. There is not a need to register the serial number for the coverage.

Thanks for the question and take care!

Thank you for your reply. I bought my iPad Pro brand new at a local Best Buy about a month ago along with two year AppleCare. Then I decided to buy the Magic Keyboard cover via Apple store brand new last week. So I didn’t buy both at the same time. Is my magic keyboard case still covered with AppleCare?
