Face ID

Is there a way to use Face ID with out having to set it up as a lock code. I want to use Face ID For passwords,apps, and purchasing thing but I do not want to have a lock on the phone. Is that possible?

Nope. You must set up a passcode and REMEMBER that passcode if you want to use Face ID. There are times when you will be required to enter the passcode even if you use Face ID, such as after a reboot, a forced restart, an iOS update, a restore, etc.
