Can you please assist me with the following?
Can I use a USB Port Hub to run my printer and mouse? SO that it still operates efficiently.
And if so - which model would you recommend?

I would recommend using WiFi for the printer and a wireless mouse with your MBA. Other items can be connected through a hub and there are many out that should work fine. look at Amazon listings.
