Keyboard marks on the screen

One friend told me that there was a mistake in MacBooks that made the screen get scratched or damaged by its own keyboard (or sometimes leave marks of the keys on the screen) in some versions of the MacBook. I have the new MacBook Air M1, I want to know if this was fixed or not, because he recommended me to buy a screen protector to avoid this to happen.

Thanks.

Recalled Items:

Sometimes issues occur that make an items applicable for recall. So, keep an eye on this link for a recall for something like this: https://support.apple.com/service-programs

Have a Link?:

Ask your friend where they heard of this. Then provide the link for reference. That would most certainly help.
