How do I change Permissions to make changes on my own laptop? I went in to sharing & permissions but it will not allow me to change anything! Must be a way.
Is it managed by a parent or a bz, or school?
In Sys Prefs>Users & Groups, does it say Admin under your name?
Are you moving that to somewhere inside your Home folder?
Apple blocks as best they can other locations.
I'm the only user and I am the administrator ! I can not seem to get it to allow me to change my own permissions. every time I go to put a folder in my hard drive it asks to authenticate it? and so everything is sitting on my desk top..
