Status icons

When I hover finger over status icons on iPhone 12 it brings up a new window with a larger icon in middle of screen is the normal or have I turned something on ? And if so how do I turn off?

New black icon in iPhone status bar I noticed a new icon in my iPhone status bar yesterday. Is anybody familiar with it? A little hard to tell without a magnifying glass but it looks like a sound wave. Are third parties allowed to put icons up there?
