How to increase or decrease the line spacing between footnotes in Pages?

Pages used to have an option in the documents tab of the Documents panel where you could change the "space between notes". It seems to be gone in current Pages. Anyone know how to make this adjustment now?

Format Pages Footnotes iPad Pro iPad Pro 2020 11" The footnotes in Pages take up unnecessary room - see Image 1. I assume that is because they are in text boxes - see Image 3. How can I reduce the spacing between boxes. Secondly, how can I change the default font and size for all the footnotes?

If the first paragraph begins on the previous page it places the next number instead of a How do I set up or correct a problem with setting a footnote after the first part-paragraph that places a succeeding number from previous page after the quoted text, but places a #1 at the bottom of the page?

Click once on any footnote to select them all.

Side panel > Footnotes
