Stuck on searching for incompatible software

How long have you been waiting on this screen since you've started the process? Is this the first time you are trying to use the Migration Assistant, or have you tried multiple times? Are you migrating data from an older Mac or from a PC?

Did you follow those steps to initiate the transfer using migration assistant? We ask to make sure that all available software updates have been installed on the old computer and the new computer prior to starting the process:

Thanks for keeping us updated. Are you attempting to migrate your data from another Mac or is it coming from a PC? If you try booting your Mac into safe mode and restart it once its in safe mode, do you notice any improvement?

Have you tried using a different cable to connect the two devices with a cable instead of using a Wi-Fi network?
