Cannot set up Trust between iphone and imac

When you're prompted to enter the code on your iPhone, is there any other text on the screen indicating what code you should enter? If so, could you please provide those details along with a description of what you're seeing on the screen.

Also, do you have a mobile device management (MDM) profile installed on your iPhone?

It sounds like you’re unable to configure your Mac as a trusted computer with your iPhone. We’d like to help.

You mention that when choosing “trust” your Mac never generates a code. Take a look at About the 'Trust This Computer' alert on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, in this case this would be expected behavior. Your Mac would not generate a code as unlocking your connected device and selecting “trust” in the prompt would complete this process.

However, if you are trying to sign into your Apple ID or trying to generate a verification code, take a look at Get a verification code and sign in with two-factor authentication.

Thank you for providing that photo. This is expected behavior when connecting your device to a computer.

Do you use a passcode with your device? This is the code that you would be entering when you see this screen, the device passcode used to unlock it. Is your device passcode not being accepted?
