USB Superdrive for Mac Blu Ray compatible?

I have a Superdrive external disc drive for Mac. The blurb mentions CD & DVD but not Blu Ray. Am I right in inferring that it is not compatible with Blu Ray discs? Thanks

No, the superdrive is NOT blu-ray compatible.

If you want to support Blu-Ray you would need a Blu-Ray player and associated software to work correctly. That is what I have and works fine with Mac and Big Sur.
