I have a MacBook Pro. I used to have this problem every once in awhile but it's worked for a long time now and all of a sudden today it's to working. I'm a photographer so I use that feature frequently. It's just more of a pain in the butt to not have it. Does anyone know what causes this issue? Thanks!

Thanks for coming to Apple Support Communities for help making a new folder for selected items.
This should show up when you right click after you have selected all the files you want and then right click on top of one of them. It will say New Folder with Selection in the menu and tell you the number of items in the selection.
If that isn't working, try testing inside a new user account. Here's how to make one: Set up users, guests, and groups on Mac.
