Apple TV+ promotion terms

How are people interpreting this in the Apple TV+ promo terms? Is it essentially saying you can only take advantage of a promo once forever for a given Apple ID? Or only one offer at a time?

“Only one offer per Apple ID and only one offer per family if you're part of a Family Sharing group, regardless of the number of devices you or your family purchases.”

I ask the question because I had the AppleTV+ promo with a MacBook purchase. After that was over I subscribed to AppleTV+ for about six months and then bought a new Apple TV which was eligible for another year of AppleTV+ if it was registered before July 1. I registered it and the 1 year promo appeared in my subscription but when my regular monthly subscription expired the promo dropped as well.

Contacted Apple support and they said I was not eligible for the AppleTV+ promo because I had already received a promo on my Apple ID previously even though that promo was completed.

This is certainly not clear from the terms as it doesn’t mention anything about prior promotions just that if you can only have one device within a family with the promo.

Anyone else have a similar experience? Any recourse here?

That is once forever. Buying more device at a later time doesn’t make you eligible for new offers. It is an extended trial. You already tried it before.

I have had the same experience. But there is a difference in my opinion between a Promotion and Trial. I have 4 Apple TV's (2020, and 2 iPhone 12's (2021) I thought my trial from the Apple TV's would expire and my promo would take over.

I called apple 5 times and until the last time I was told it would work.

Trial is just that try and see if you like it.

A Promo is you spent 2K with us in devices, we'll say thanks with 12 months (at 5/mth=$60) free Apple TV.

Apple historically has not been a company that Nickel and Dimes you but rather encourages the Complete apple experience. Does not seem like $60 thank you on 2k purchase is that big a deal.
