new MacBookPro with Catalina and can no longer set up fvwm window manager properly

I got new MacBookPro with Catalina and can no longer set up fvwm window manager properly. On the older laptop with the same OS after exec /opt/local/bin/fvwm2 I was able to clicl on XQuartz and that would open a new separate display (desktop). This does not work any longer after the error below

(-replace does not help)

Any suggestions much appreciated - thanks!!!

% exec /opt/local/bin/fvwm2

I have no idea if XQuartz still works. Do you have XQuartz installed.

If "XQuartz is activated" when you open Terminal, check the Terminal Preferences to see if you have some command set to start XQuartz. The General tab has a place, and each Profile has one in the Shell tab. Check the default profile.

Also check .zshrc for some command to run XQuartz.
