Fossil Gen-4 not connecting with iphone 12

Hi! I am not able to connect my Fossil smartwatch to my iPhone 12. The wear OS app completes the process on my phone but the watch is stuck at the Pairing Code display. It seems to be connected to my phone but I cannot use my watch. The problem lies with the new iPhones as it works perfectly with my 6s.


Hope the issue gets resolved soon as this seems to be Apple forcing me to switch to their watch.

Haris-C,


Make sure your watch is compatible to work with the software running on iPhone. Ensure that you’re running the latest software version in Settings > General > Software Update. Check out the guidance in the following support article If you can't connect a Bluetooth accessory to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. If this continues, you may need to refer to the watch manufacturer.

Thanks for the quick response. I tried what you suggested but doesn't work.


My problem is not pairing my device. It is that my watch does not proceed beyond the pairing screen whereas it gets paired with my phone and also the whole process on wear OS app on my iPhone 12 completes. The watch does not acknowledge the whole process though. It remains on the same screen and if I restart it, it asks to connect all over again.


It works fine when I use my iPhone 6s. So I am assuming there is some software issue with iPhone 12.
