Apple Watch 6 battery draining in Watch OS 7.6.2

Mine was doing the same but I charged it last night fully by 10.30 and I still now have 50% left at 6.25pm so mine seems to have resolved itself after 4 days of charging twice a day. I hope it continues. Cheers Marilyn

The same thing is happening to me. My watch battery would last almost three days without being charged. Now it runs out in 4-5 hours. I have unpaired and erased everything. Started from scratch like setting up a new watch and that did not help. This is frustrating.

Mine was doing the same and I left it and didn’t do anything and yesterday it reverted and now i fully charged it last night by 10.30pm and at 2.30pm today still have 72% left. I always only got 24 hrs out of the charging. So mine is back to normal cheers

This is absolutely a problem with 7.6.1. My Apple Watch 4 has just gone from 100% to 9% in 6-7 hours, and I've done nothing but alternate between standing & sitting at my standing desk throughout my normal workday. I've noticed it being much worse since installing the update a few days ago but this renders the watch completely unusable - and there have been snafus like this on updates in the past.

As much as I've enjoyed my watch (Series 4) in some ways... I've been incredibly disappointed in the bugginess of watchOS and related updates. Having to re-pair or completely wipe my watch every couple releases is frankly unacceptable for an ~$800 piece of technology (stainless steel with AppleCare, in my case). Certainly can't say I'll be buying another.

Same issue here. I mean, the battery life *already* needed improvement, but after 7.6.1 update it *really* seems to be draining. For instance: I wear my watch at night to track my sleep. Last night I charged it to full, and I only put it on when I was crawling into bed. When I woke this morning it was at 65%. I do not have cellular turned on, night settings are activated from 11p-7a, and there is no background app refresh. 45% overnight?! That’s just ridiculous. C’mon now, Apple.

Well I took my watch to the Apple Store and the tech wrote up the order as a free battery replacement. I got an email saying that there wasn’t anything they could do as the Diagnostics scan showed the battery at 100% healthy life. So they sent it back and said oh well. Me and a tech on the phone got into it as he basically didn’t believe my claims.

It fixes itself in three to four days if you do nothing to it cheers

This is just irresponsible and reprehensible. They need to fix come up with a fix. Silence won’t stop the complaints for a solution.

I agree completely! My Apple Watch is useless now. The battery drain issue is ridiculous. It has reached a point now where I feel like just throwing it aside and wearing my regular watches.

I’m down about half of my usual battery life it I at least have a backup Gen 4 watch that performs ok when needed. Unfortunately, it is needed constantly after this update.

I concur absolutely!!! I took mine off I’m done. That is for the birds.

actually I did that, it didn't help. As I wrote the main thing that helped was turning off the Always On, which makes sense because power is used to light up the display.
