Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!

It sounds like you want to turn off SOS text messages to your emergency contacts, and we'd like to help.

Are these text messages being sent as a result of an SOS emergency call?

If so, the article that you reviewed, Use Emergency SOS on your iPhone, explains how to stop the texts and location sharing:

"After an emergency call ends, your iPhone alerts your emergency contacts with a text message, unless you choose to cancel.

When your location is being shared, you'll get a reminder to stop every 4 hours for 24 hours. To stop the updates, tap the status bar and select "Stop Sharing Emergency Location."
