I lost all contacts. How can I do a backup from the day before

Enable Contacts in iCloud:
Once Contacts is is enabled on iCloud, then all would be accessible through iCloud. Once you log back in to the same Apple ID on this, Contacts will show up.
How to Enable Contacts:
Log into iCloud on the phone. Then, tap Contacts in iCloud settings, making it green.
- Go To: Settings
- Tap: Your Name (Top-Item)
- Tap: iCloud
- Tap: Contacts (so that it is green)
