zero byte files after airdrop photos to Mac

I used airdrop to copy photos from my iPhone 8 to my Mac. (Bigsur 11.5.1), Then when I looked in the download folder some files said “zero bytes” and some files were good.

Is there anyway I can recover them?

Hi sivasApplle1000,

Thank you for posting in the Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you were using Airdrop to transfer photos to your Mac and not all of them were transferred, correct? You're asking for a way to recover them, so we assume they have been deleted from the device. If so, we would love to help see if we can get the issue resolved for you. Do you happen to know if you had a previous backup of your iPhone that included your photos, or if you stored your Photos in iCloud?

If you used iCloud to store the photos, we recommend checking to see if you can locate them on the iCloud site.

Get help with iCloud Photos

If you have a recent backup that includes the photos, you may try restoring them to the device.

Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch from a backup

Please let us know how it goes. We're always happy to help.

Cheers!
