I recently got my hands on a macbook pro. And its in very good condition on the outside and no signs of cracks on the screen. But the problem is that the screen flickers and distorted lines are on certain colors. for example the color gray the distorted lines show up. And on some Youtube videos some of the colors look off. Let me know if anyone knows what could be causing this. Note: that the battery also says that it may need service.

You can compare using an external monitor.
Screens shots come directly from the GPU and not the display itself.
If I had to guess I would say the Display or Display cable has a fault.
