Airpods Pro Disconnect when timer goes off on Iphone

***This question has been asked since 2016 multiple times with no fixes so I am reposting*** I listen to podcasts while exercising. I set timers while exercising. When a timer ends and I stop the alarm, several things happen:

-my AirPods Pro disconnect from my iPhone,

-my podcast stops playing

-my timer stops on my iPhone, but continues to ring on my Apple Watch

Every time I do a timed workout, I now need to reconnect my AirPods Pro and resume my podcast. Very frustrating.

I have reset and the problem persists. Also it is specifically when the timer goes off in my apple watch
