Can Airplay 2 run on MacBook Pro?

The following Apple devices support AirPlay 2:

 

  • iPhone®, iPad®, or iPod touch® with iOS 11.4 or later
  • Apple TV® 4K or Apple TV HD with tvOS 11.4 or later
  • Computers with iTunes® 12.8 or later
  • Mac® computers with macOS Catalina or higher

I do appreciate your help Axel as I am about to buy the new 2021 LG OLED TV & want to make 100% sure that I can slideshow pictures from my Mac WIRELESSLY as the tv will be on the wall.


The link that you sent to me appears to only refer to connecting via a cable, HDMI. Unless I’m missing something. I need to wirelessly connect and the LG rep said that we do that by connecting to Airolay 2.
