accidentally unplugged iMac

I just bought a new M1 iMac. I couldn't recall if it was still during the initial setup or after everything was done and it already displayed desktop, I just unplugged the power cable and moved it to another table. I did it so naturally without thinking too much because I have not been using a PC for a long time (been using laptop instead). It was only after I reconnected the power cable I realised the iMac was already shut down and I needed to press the power button to turn it on again. I would like to ask will such an incident cause harm to my iMac? If yes, to what extent? Also is it possible to turn it on without connecting to a power source (probably no but just want to confirm)? Thanks.

iMac 24″, macOS 11.4
