Ensure that "External disks" is check marked in Finder > Preferences > General.
Remove the SD card then reinsert the card in the SD card slot of your Mac or card reader.
TIP:
Don't remove a card while your Mac is sleeping, as this could lead to data loss. Always wake your computer and eject the SD card before removing it from your Mac.
