I'm having the same issue on my iPhone 12 Pro max. In photo mode or video mode the live view will work for a few seconds then it'll lose focus and freeze. I've tried restarting my phone. I checked to see if I had storage issues. I've cleaned the lenses. Nothing is working.

I contacted apple support who are looking into it now and will get back to me on thursday with the diagnostic reports i dont get why they dont just look at all these threads with people with the same issue after an update when i did say this to the guy on the phone his response was every issue is different… no its not were all facing one main issue the ios 14.7.1 update

After making me wait a week .. he wasted about 30 mins of my time to then come out with take it to apple or send it in they will charge you what they said and fix it … so pointless as what are they intending to fix rear camera doesnt work at all front works only on some apps and when you take a vid it switches off and vid is grey

It’s the same issue on my iPhone 12 Pro Max, since the update to 14.7.1 starts the problem, my Face ID sometimes don’t recognizes me, the camera focus is not working and I also thought the lenses were dirty but not. My phone is almost new

iPhone 14.7 .1 camera issues

Same here…. After installing iOS 14.7 .1 I am immediately getting iPhone camera issues. Is anyone else experiencing this? And do you have any fixes?

The Auto focus and white balance on my camera is totally screwed up in the iPhone camera app. When I take a photo it does not register and store the photo in the photos album. The same with portrait mode etc. The camera hardware it self seems to be fine because I can take normal photographs via WhatsApp and other apps. HELP!!!!!!

I didn't even use the iphone 12 pro max which just bought from the Apple store, and after updating iOS to 14.7.1 this **** “important camera message” appeared. After that:

flash is not working, neither in the camera app nor from the control center,

sometimes the camera app is black, sometimes there is video, but you can't zoom out to ultra-wide or tele zoom in

Buttons often get stuck in the camera app.

So, I paid to Apple for an expensive phone because of a good camera and only got a charging cable and a cell phone without a camera, and support only advises replacing the camera which was sold broken to me. Not fair. Very disappointed.

iPhone 12 Pro. Yesterday all 3 back cameras stopped working and flash shortly after. Went in today to the apple store, they Renés diagnostics and gave me a whole new one. Got home and tried using my camera a few hours later… what’s you know same thing all over again. At least the flashlight works for now.

Me too and faceID also doesn’t work anymore.

ive contacted Apple and they say it’s hardware problem caused by me.

please contact Apple maybe something can be done if we contact in mass

Hi same has happened to mine good job i checked these threads i kept repeating to the guy at apple that its due to the update… yet he has quoted me £75 to fix a rear camera that isnt even broken

In Italy Apple support wants me to pay 600€.

I’m very disappointed they continue telling me it’s my fault I let the phone drop.
