Screens with Mac Mini M1: Requirements?

What are the requirements for a screen to be compatible with the latest Mac Mini M1?

My current screen (used as an external monitor with a MacBook Pro mid-2010) is 1080p x 1920p, Samsung model BX2231, type B522WS. It has two HDMI and one RGB IN ports.

How can I tell whether this screen will work with the Mac Mini M1?

Mac mini 2018 or later

Some more info: The Samsung display input is HDMI 1.X and the Mac Mini output is HDMI 2.0 — any problem there?

I understand a Premium Certified HDMI cable will enable my Samsung display to work with the Mac Mini M1.
