If the battery drains too fast after an update, see all the replies to:

FWIW, in some cases, unpairing the watch, completely erasing it, then pairing and restoring the backup will resolve the battery draining issue after an update. (Simply unpairing and pairing again may not work.)

Also, some people have found that simply waiting a few days after an update resolves the battery draining problem.
I too am having this problem. I was getting nearly 20 hours on my watch, I updated and now am barely getting 12 hours. And that’s on “extended battery life” or whatever it’s called. This update is ridiculous and I wish I could downgrade my watch.
Having the same issue. Never had a problem before the update. Now after being charged all night and 1 workout, my watch is down to 10%. This was a total use of 7 hours. I haven’t charge it at work. Basically useless.
So I thought I'd update. I did not have the time to unpair my watch, erase it and set it back up again so I just powered it off and then back on yesterday morning. It has been back to normal since. I am not saying that turning it off and on fixed it. It's more likely that it took a week for the issue to resolve but it won't hurt anything to power it down. Thanks for the repies and I hope everyone can get back to enjoying their watch.
For an update, this happened to both me and my wife. We unpaired and repaired our watches and things have gotten back to normal. I get 23 hours in a normal day.
Sucks it had to be this way, but it’s better than not having a watch at all.
My watch is draining the battery very fast since an update to 7.6.1
