Can I reformat my iMac, without affecting my Bootcamp partition?

Bootcamp Deletion Originally I attempted to delete bootcamp from my MBP and it wouldn't erase from the disk. I am having trouble deciphering terminal because of inexperience and wanting to merge the partitions seems to be different for everyone. Just need a bit of assistance

Cant erase Bootcamp partition Hey guys, So I also have issues erasing the Bootcamp partition on my mac. I guess one way to would be to wipe the entire Mac OSX and start over but that feels as quite a big task so perhaps there are easier ways to get this done? If I use disk utilities and earse the partition from within OSX it gets deleted but straight afterwards gets mounted again, so it wont go away completely. I have no need for several partitions, just want to get back to normal again and start over with a new fresh bootcamp install.

Yes, but why do you want to do this? If you decide to move forward with the re-format (ill advised) ensure your Boot Camp partition is backed up!!!!!!!!!!!
