My left airpod disconnects from my iphone/iPad is about one minute. The right one stays connected. How to fix?

My left airpod disconnects from my iphone/iPad after about one minute. The right one stays connected. How to fix? I'd followed the suggested solution - go to Settings=> Airpods=> i=> forget device, etc. Still no luck. Anyone having this issue and have a solution? Thanks.
