I am trying to set up a used I Pad 16GB - It kept saying they could not set up the account now so I went on my computer to set up an Apple account and when I got that done I tried to enter that information in the I pad it said my user name was taken - It was taken by me. It said I could use on up to 5 things; I am talking about my email address. that is where I am stuck
Are you trying to create a separate AppleID for the iPad?
Or are you seeing the error on the iPad when you try to log
on using the AppleID from your computer?
If you are trying to create a new AppleID, you cannot use an
email address that is already associated with a different AppleID.
If this is not what you are asking, provide more details so someone
may offer a solution.

the Ipad is telling me my user name or password for AOL is incorrect. It has been the same for years.
