Logic Pro X effects not translating when bouncing stems to Pro Tools Session for Engineering

I recently exported stems from songs I mixed and added effects to in Logic Pro X to my engineer who uses Pro Tools. Most of the effects such as panning, fades and even most automation bounced but some of the remix effects (tape stop, repeater, reverb) didn’t show up on the Pro Tools side and if it did it wasn’t the same sound as I did it on Logic. Has anyone experienced this as well? If so, is there a work around? I would like to do and retain my effects on the Logic Side so I have been considering if I should have the engineer mix my dry tracks then bounce them back so I can add my own effects and automation because I can move a lot faster and I have gotten good at using the remix effects. Anyone with any knowledge on this, please let me know. Thank you!

HI,

If using Track Bounce in Place or Track Export make sure that "Bypass Effect Plugins" is not checked.

As mentioned by yoyoBen if you have FX on aux, bus or subs, sums they need to be included in the bounce.

If you have a complex environment or only stem/sum tracks you want to export you can simply mute any tracks you want to EXCLUDE and Bounce each stem from the Master Out.

Hope this helps

You have to create tracks in the main window for every (aux-) track you wish to export. This can be done by CNTR-Click on the icon of the aux tracks. By selecting Create Track, the coresponing track is now visible in the main window like any other track of your project. You can re-arrange the positions. Dont forget to select the tracks when exporting.
