iPhone plays Apple Music when I don’t have Apple Music installed.

When don’t have any apps open, in control center, I press play and it starts playing music from my Apple Music library. I don’t have Apple Music installed on my iPhone and there’s no way to pause the music or skip. The only way to turn it off is to play music in another app.

Hello Anthony VanVolkinburg,

Out of curiosity do you have Home Sharing turned on for your Apple Music Library?

I use Apple Music and have always assumed that area of the Control Center was the "Now Playing" widget which shows what is playing from your Music Library on any device and allows you to control the playback of said device.

I have been messing with mine but could not find a way to remove or edit that section. I am not willing to turn off my Home Sharing to check if that removes it though. If you want to try that go to the Music App settings from your iPhone Settings App. The iPhone User Guide doesn't address it either. Use and customize Control Center on iPhone - Apple Support

While that cannot be edited you can add Widgets for many 3rd party apps. The Widgets screen should be the left-most "page" on your iPhone.

I hope this helps.
