The conference room display does not let me turn it off
I’m trying to get rid of the airplay square on my tv screen. The conference room display does not let me turn it off

Use the Menu/Back button to exit the Conference Room Display screen. Go further back to access Settings on the home screen. There is an on|off setting for Conference Room Display in Settings﹥AirPlay﹥.
That setting can be locked using Restrictions. Editing restrictions requires knowing the PIN.
That setting can be locked using a device profile (corporate managed devices).
Resetting the device would also erase such settings.
