Hi. I am receiving emails from apple addressed. Google regard these addresses as the same. If I click the link in the apple request to verify my ID my password is not recognised. Presumably someone else has the apple ID but emails from apple to them are delivered to my inbox

Does this situation pose any security threat to me?

How can I resolve this situation?

This is almost certainly a scam: the email isn't from Apple and it's aimed to get you to reveal your password, which you've done. You need to change your password now before they do any damage.

Never click on links in unexpected emails, no matter who they appear to have come from.
