How to force delete all files in the trash

I have some folders in the trash can and when I try to empty the trash it throws an error saying


Can't delete “dest” because its pathname is too long.

How can I force empty the trash can in macos big sur ?

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 11.1

I solved the issue by making sure the terminal had full access to the disk and ran this piece of code in the terminal :

rm -rvf ~/.Trash
