How do I set up "Audio In" on my 2017 27" iMac?
I want to have a input port for audio. What is the best way to do that. Only port for audio is output.
iMac 27″, macOS 10.15

Mac's that have a single headphone jacks do support audio input, but only when using compatible headsets.
To input analog audio from other devices, you can use a simple USB audio adapter.

If you want to input optical digital audio, then you will need a USB DAC that supports optical input.

Actually a review of your suggestion turned me on to this model which supposedly is much better. Time will tell. Thanks for the reply. SENNHEISER PCV 05 Combo Audio Adapter.
You're welcome.
Yea' that does have the correct TRRS jack for the 2017 and later Mac's with a single audio port.
