Numbers does not allow you to rotate text in a table cell. Sorry.

There are workarounds involving text boxes. If you're just making a list of chores, though, then that may be more trouble than it's worth.

Have you had a look at the templates at File > New in the menu? There are some that are suitable for lists of tasks.

Do you mean a table or a chart?

You can't rotate text in a table cell. But you can rotate text in a text box.

In a chart you can rotate axis labels.

More specifics on what you are trying to do would help.

You could always print this in landscape view, if that fix this issue (by 90 degrees).
