- There are subtle sound effects when navigating. That can be turned off if you want.
- You may have activated VoiceOver accidentally, which would narrate the on-screen navigation options. That can be turned off if you want.
- You may have activated Audio Descriptions accidentally, which would narrate supported programs. That can be turned off if you want.
The above mentioned sounds would come from the Apple TV box, through the speakers, so a new remote wouldn’t change that. It is configurable settings.
