Is there a way to increase the cache on the photo screensaver on Apple TV?

I thought this issue would be resolved when I just upgraded to a new apple TV (Apple TV HD 2nd Generation 32GB), but the screensaver is still limiting the variety of pictures it displays to ~500 pictures. And it's always the same (newest) 500 pictures.

This is really frustrating because I'd like to be able to use my apple tv like a digital photo frame and be able to see all my pictures that go back years.

Based on my research, this seems to be a caching limit, but is there a way to override this? I don't think i use the storage on my apple tv for much else, so I have no idea why this hard limit would be in place like it is.

Apple TV HD, tvOS 14

Sorry but no there is not. You may want to provide feedback to Apple at www.apple.com/feedback.
