iOS 14.7.1 & Bluetooth issues

Since updating to iOS 14.7.1, my phone won’t discover any Bluetooth devices. I’ve shut down Bluetooth, rebooted, and reset network connections, as different people have suggested, but none of those steps helped. I’ve seen some mentions of this issue online, but no solutions that work.

Hi OkieInCO,

Thanks for reaching out using Apple Support Communities. Here to help.

We understand you're having trouble with Bluetooth connections on your iPhone.

Are you referring to pairing connections the already existed, or are you having trouble setting up a new Bluetooth connection? If a new connection, ensure you are putting the Bluetooth device in 'Pairing' mode which you can find in most user guides.

Can you tell us what is happening when you try to pair? Are you able to turn Bluetooth off and on in Settings > Bluetooth? The below article will walkthrough some troubleshooting steps, as well as what situations to consider contacting Apple Support.

If you can't connect a Bluetooth accessory to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Hope this helps! Take care for now.

After I have upgraded to the 14.7.1 my Bluetooth is disconnecting and reconnecting on and off when trying to use it. I first noticed it with the connection to my car which is a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado. But it is also happened with my Jabra earbuds. I had no problem before the upgrade. I will start my car and the phone connects to Bluetooth. I can use Spotify or listen to music or podcasts using various apps without a problem. However when I activate Siri the phone and Bluetooth connection will basically spaz out and proceed and several reconnect disconnects

until finally staying disconnected. However yes I look at my Bluetooth connections on my phone it says that I’m connected to my car but my car says no connection therefore my connection is in limbo. If I am on a phone call I can’t hear anything and the other party can’t hear me but the call is not dropped

I just purchased a 12 Pro, replacement for my X. Same issue, 2009 GMC Yukon. Bluetooth shows connected, then drops. Picks up mid phone calls and it’s like a black hole where no audio is transmitted. I have AirPods that stay connected with no problem. Apple support via text was woefully inadequate and offered zero assistance, even suggesting that I visit my auto manufacturer for a Bluetooth refresh (what?). Hope a new update fixes this, and quick.

Cannot connect to microlife blood pressure monitor's blue tooth. Was working fine before the update to 14.7.1. on my iphone Xr. Tried resetting the network, installing and reinstalling the microlife app, unparing the blue tooth device. Finally deleted the device on the phone, and then the phone cannot find the device to pair. So far I have tried everything and nothing works.

this has been happening to us too, all bluetooth accessories and even other iphones and ipads just wont stay connected.

apple hasnt responded with anything helpful. the troubleshooting steps are a waste of time. holding out for the next update is ridiculous, the past couple havent done anything to even address this.

at this point its also impacting our business.
