Big Sur upgrade
My saved screenshots on my desktop have disappeared and on doing some research it may have happened when I updated to Big Sur 11.5.1. Has anyone had this happen and is there anything I can do?

Time Machine Backup from before the issue was presented is a good way to get back missing files.
A Time Machine Backup is very useful and can be used to Revert to Previous Working macOS.
