Unable to reinstall iTunes remote on Apple Watch

The iTunes remote was not working properly on my wife's Apple Watch series 5.v7.6.1 so I deinstalled the app from the watch and deinstalled the app from the iPhone 11 v74.7..1. I was able to reinstall the app on the phone and connect with the music library on the mac, however I could not find any way to reinstall the iTunes remote on the watch. It does not appear as an option on the watch app on the phone, in the hexagon of the apps or in the watch app library.


It is working fine on my watch series 6 with the same music library.


Is there a way to reinstall it on the watch?


I followed this on a previous post https://discussions.apple.com/thread/251462852 and it did not work for me.

On you iPhone, tap:

Watch > My Watch

and stroll to the bottom of 'INSTALLED ON Apple Watch' and/or 'AVAILABNLE APPS'

does it appear there? If so, tap the INSTALL button.


The first (and simplest) thing to try if something isn’t working right is to restart your Apple Watch and its paired iPhone. If necessary (device not responding), try a forced restart. Both methods can be found here:
