Are my photos on someone else’s device?

I used to share an apple id with a family member who I no longer speak to. For most of the time we shared the id, we had separate photo albums but at some point it synced them. They received mine and I received theirs. I then made my own apple id and now I no longer have the other persons pictures. Do they still have mine? And do they still receive mine?

If you changed your Apple ID to a new one, then your new pictures would no longer be sent to them. Anything existing on the old Apple ID that they may still be using would still be accessible to them.

Apple IDs should never be shared for any reason. They are meant to be used by a single person only.
