i just bought my MacBook and it’s not letting me put my email in , it pops up with a box saying use with : but doesnt let me add the account and X out of the Mail app

Use a New App Password:
Do you use an App Password? If so, try a new App Password. Sometimes, changes (i.e. updates) are made to the MacBook, and then mail server syncing becomes an issue (which is what a new App Password is intended to fix).
