Using iMac as external monitor

I have a late 2012 iMac i want to use as a secondary display with my mac book pro 2020..howver Command F2 is not showing the screen

Please look for the Apple article called Target Display Mode, you will find yo need a 2019 iMac Or earlier. In short Target Display Mode is dead.
