calendar shared with family members is missing

My calendar suddenly stopped appearing on my iPhone. I've had the calendar for more than 10 years. It was originally set up when only my husband had an iPhone. He "shares" the calendar with me. But as of this morning, it is missing. What would have caused the calendar to disappear from my iPhone. I can see my calendar on my husband's phone and it says that it is shared with me.

No, my calendar is not listed. It was there yesterday and now it is not there. But I still see it on my husband’s phone. And on his phone it is marked to “share” with me. So I should be able to see it on my phone. I have never experienced this issue.

If this is an iCloud email calendar then also ensure that you signed into iCloud after the update. If this calendar is with another email address (Gmail, hotmail etc) then ensure that the email account is signed in properly as well.

One other place to double check is:

Open Settings ➔ Mail ➔ Accounts: Here, tap on the account with the calendar and ensure that Calendar switch is set to ON.

Reset the Home Screen Layout:

One thing to do is reset the Home Screen layout. By performing that, things will be placed back to how they should be.

  1. Go to: Settings
  2. Tap: General
  3. Tap: Reset
  4. Tap: Reset Home Screen Layout

As to what it would disappear, sometimes changes are made by third party apps, but no one here would know.
