I am trying to pair my watch to my phone. When I start the setup, it says I have an update to do. I can’t do the update without my watch being connected to wifi, but I can’t connect my watch to wifi without setting it up and I can’t set it up without doing the update hahaha so I’m in a dilemma.

I have the iPhone 12 max and it’s fully updated.
my watch is the series 3 and I don’t know what update bc it’s been about 6 months since I’ve worn it.
I haven’t done anything yet, this is what I’ve done:
Started pairing to my phone by the watch app, then it tells me My watch needs to be updated to complete the pairing.
I clicked update, it tells me it can’t update because it’s not connected to wifi.
I cant connect to wifi without pairing it🤦🏽♀️
