I can't set up my e-mail account on my iPhone SE.

I keep getting a message" The IMAP server "imap.comcast.net" doesn't support Password authentication. Please check your account setttings and try again.

I can't go on to add the account. If I dismiss the prompt above I can't move forward (it just redisplays the New Account screen and I only have the option of selecting Cancel or Next - Next just redisplays the same prompt).

I went back to the email account on my computer and went to the security settings. There was a box that said "Uncheck or uncheck the box under Third Party Access Security to prevent or allow third-party programs access to your Xfinity Connect email." I checked the box and I was then able to set up the e-mail on my iPhone BUT I'm a bit nervous about having that box checked on my computer. But when I unchecked it, I couldn't get any new e-mails.

Dismiss that password authentication prompt and continue the process of adding the account.

Once it is added, go to Settings > Mail > Account, then access the added account, review it and change account settings for both, the incoming and the outgoing server, to match with those you got it from Comcast.

When settings are changed, make sure they are saved too so keep an eye on ‘Done’ button in upper right when you navigate through the account settings screens.
