High Sierra and Microsoft Remote Desktop

Hi all,

I am looking to download Microsoft Remote Desktop to my iMac and I get this message:

I am operating with macOS High Sierra v 10.13.6.

Without going to the trouble of a time machine back up and unistall reinstall process, is there a way around this?
