What is CleanMyMac X? I think it came on my new MacBook Air.
I have a new MacBook Air, M1 Chip. I came across CleanMyMac X app. I think it came with my Mac. Is it safe to use and effective?

CleanMyMac is a 3rd party cleaning App. It does not come pre-installed with any Mac.
It is considered by most to be unnecessary and is known to cause issues.
If you have it installed, you must have downloaded it yourself from somewhere, or it was transferred from a previous Mac if you set up up your Mac from a backup of one.
Best thing to do is to remove it. It's basically useless. Use its own uninstaller.
