What can I do to stop my Philips 279c9 monitor USB to shut my HD's down.

My M1 MacBook is connected to a Philips 279c9 monitor. The monitor has a 4-way powered USB hub, to which I connected two HD. But very frequently (but not always!), if the Mac goes to sleep, the monitor USB hub shuts down, disconnecting the HD (resulting in repeated on screen messages that I disconnected the HD). Strangely enough this usually happens 3 times in a row (implying that it reconnected in between) and with both HD (one is a SDD, the other a traditional HD).

Philips has no clue to what is going on. To be sure:-), the USB standby setting is on and the MacBook has the latest software.

Does anybody have any idea what to do? It is really annoying. Otherwise the monitor is great!

You might want to give this a try:

System Preferences --> Energy Saver -- Prevent computer from sleeping automatically when the display is off..
